THE AMERICAN CHANT CAMP

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, pray for our Country!

Chant Camp 2026 will pray in a special way for our country through Our Lady on its 250th birthday, as the Philadelphia Apostolate of the FSSP. Our Solemn Mass will be on July 2nd, the Feast of the Visitation of Our Lady. We welcome students, ages 10+ from St. Mary’s and other tradition-loving parishes within the Archdiocese and amongst the region to learn together and sing a beautiful Mass for Our Lady in a festival style 4-day camp. Music will include period music from 1787 as well a new Mass Ordinary by an American composer, united by the universal Gregorian Chant. Devotions to the Most Precious Blood, celebrated on July 1st, rigorous classes by our expert faculty, fun games and recreation with our FSSP seminarians and priests, and crafts will enhance our celebration of the AMERICAN story of Catholic sacred music since its founding in 1776. A look at early Catholic music in Philadelphia at the time of the Revolutionary War, the history of Catholic music on the Atlantic Coast, and experiencing the joy of America’s first Catholics by singing the Te Deum for all the blessings received in our free land.
